Ken Jordan is a respected leader in the Southwestern livestock industry, continuing a family legacy that spans more than 60 years. His work - both in agriculture and public service - reflects a lifelong commitment to the success of the livestock industry and the future of rural Texas.
As the second-generation owner and operator of Jordan Cattle Auction, he combines traditional values - integrity, customer service, and sound business practices - with a forward-thinking approach that has helped modernize cattle marketing in the region.
Jordan Cattle Auction operates markets in San Saba and Mason, hosting weekly sales at both locations and marketing approximately 150,000 head of cattle annually. The sale is known for its large, specialized sales, including replacement female sales that often exceed 3,000 head, along with stocker and feeder sales, premium weaned calf sales, and select registered bull offerings.
Under Ken’s leadership, the livestock market has embraced technology through a strong digital presence, social media marketing, and live internet bidding, expanding market access for customers and buyers alike.

Ken also owns and manages Jordan Ranching, Jordan Cattle Company, and Jordan Bulls, with ranching and livestock operations across Texas. In addition, Ken and his family also own and manage Harry’s, a unique western store in San Saba, Texas.
Beyond the family businesses, Ken has dedicated significant time to industry leadership and advocacy. He currently serves as Chairman of both the Texas Livestock Marketing Association and National Finance Credit Corporation and is a Governor-appointed Commissioner to the Texas Animal Health Commission. He is also an Honorary Director of the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. His past service includes roles on the NCBA Executive Committee, Chairman of the Texas Beef Council, and President of the Livestock Marketing Association of Texas.
Ken is equally committed to his local community. He serves as Mayor of San Saba and is also active in the San Saba Businessmen’s League and the San Saba Community Foundation, supporting ongoing efforts to revitalize and strengthen the community.
Ken and his wife, Kynda, reside in San Saba and have three daughters: Karoline, Kristin, and Katherine.
